This months theme is: Mythology
Yup! We've been considering this for awhile, but never really got around to it.
Here's what you can do
-ANY Country! Yup, you can do Nordics, Greeks, Chinese, whatever!
-OCs/Other Characters are allowed! So you can do stuff like Percy Jackson dudes and the Avengers I guess. But I would stay away from making your own mythical creature.
-Humanizations! Go ahead and humanize an existing creature.
-EDIT: These have to be things that are actually taboos people spread around and possibly believe in. They usually are found in religion. Things like the Lochness monster etc. are acceptable too. Feel free to ask if you aren't sure.
-EDIT2: Yes, gods, goddesses, spirits, titans, it's all okay.





Rules
Ignore the Participation rules on the group's main page, just follow this one.

1. The title MUST have "MOTME" in it
If it does NOT have this, your entry will be declined.

2. You MUST credit people CORRECTLY.
You CANNOT say "from the MMD-Mall" or "I forgot". Credit EVERY part correctly, or your entry will be declined. State the person's username who made it and the original model maker if it says it.
These parts include:
Model parts (hair,clothes,etc)
Textures (.sph,.spa,eye textures)
Stages
and other things that are in the mall.
If you do NOT credit anyone, your entry will be declined.

3. You may NOT use textures only (this includes using stages only):
(example: putting only textures on miku or miku in a park stage)
If you decide to do this, your entry will be declined.

4. You MUST use 3 or more parts from the MMD-Mall.
If you do not, your entry will be declined.

5. Do NOT use illegal parts, or your entry will be declined. This includes:

Project Diva, Dreamy Theater, Polygon Love 2, and any other games EXCEPT 3DCG.
Nanami, Saboten, and for others check this MikuMikuDance wiki ([link] and ~Antiqu-Bakery's page.

6. The model must be new for this contest.
This means that it must be produced after 3rd of August 2012, anything produced before then will be declined.

7. You may enter as many times as you like, but you will only get one entry into the finals.


If your entry is declined, then please read through the rules again before asking us why it was declined.
If you break the rules on several occasions then you will be banned from all future contests.

Judging
All models that follow all the rules will be entered into the MotM folder. At the end of the month the admins of the group will pick their favourite 10 models, based on skill, overall look and accuracy to the theme. These 10 entries will be placed in a poll (in no particular order), and this will be open for all members of MMD-Mall to vote on. The model that receives the highest number of votes will be deemed the Model of the Month

Tips and Tricks
A few tips and ticks that will help get your model noticed:

Be imaginative! Don't just pick a whole outfit and stick it on a model.
Show your model off. You may have made the nicest looking model ever, but if we can only see a rubbish looking picture that shows off nothing of it, then we can't appreciate it's awesome-ness
Never be afraid to enter. You can't win if you don't enter
Don't be disheartened if you don't get through to the finals. Your entry may not've been quite as good as others this month, but take it as a learning experience. You can only get better.
Take your time. You have a whole month to enter, try and make your model the best it can possibly be.
